Barry Bridgforth has been a life long resident of Desoto County. He received his Bachelor of Business degree from the University of Mississippi in 1968. In 1969, he went to the University of Tennessee and completed Principles of Real Estate and obtained his Real Estate Salesman's license.

Barry started Bridgforth Realty, Inc in 1971. In 1992, Barry opened a successful construction company, Bridgforth Homes, Inc, as well as a development company, Bridgforth Properties, Inc. Barry's vast knowledge of all aspects of real estate from development to sales has made him a very successful man today.

Barry is currently serving on the North Mississippi Home Builder Board of Directors, Northwest Foundation Community College Board of Directors, and he a DeSoto County Regional Utility Authority at Large Member. Barry also is a member of the Chamber of Commerce for Southaven, Hernando, Horn Lake, and Olive Branch. He is also a member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church.
