Wade Carter

Wade Carter. Born in Tippah County Mississippi
Graduated from Ripley High School in 1964
Attended Mississippi State University receiving a B S Degree in Agronomy in 1968
Joined the Navy Reserve in 1968
Served two years active duty 1969-1970
Began working for USDA Soil Conservation Service in 1968
Worked for USDA in various counties before transferring to DeSoto County in 1984
Retired from USDA in 2002:
     –with 35 years of service
     –received numerous outstanding performance ratings and awards
Married to the former Betty Clayton of Tunica County
Has three children, Brian, Curtis and Joseph
Served on the Desoto County Planning commission, served as chairman for three years
Current at large member of DCRUA
Member and Sunday School Teacher at Minor Memorial United Methodist Church.
Presently working as the Manager of Walls Water Association.
